James M. Stubbins, aged 62 years, died suddenly at his home, 1103 Elm Street this ( Tuesday) morning about 11:45 o'clock. Death was caused by kidney trouble and a complication of diseases. Complete funeral arrangements had not been made4 this afternoon but burial will be made in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Stubbins was born March 7, 1848 in the town of Waveland and was the son of James Stubbins, who was, for many years, a well known merchant at Alamo. At the age of 16 yeares, Mr. Stubbins went to Yountsville where he became identified with the Yount Woolen Mill interests and was manager of the company's store at Yountsville for many years. About six years ago he moved to Crawfordsville and for the past four years has been connected with the Louis Bischof Big Store. Besides the widow, Mr. Stubbins is survived by two children, Lloyd Stubbins of Memphis, Tenn and daughter, Mrs. Frank A. Symmes of Indianapolis. Two brothers, Arch Stubbins of Marion and Thomas Stubbins of Gary also survive. - transcribed by kbz
